Since July 22, the Soberanes Fire, which was started by an illegal campfire in Garrapata State Park, has burned over 55,000 acres and destroyed nearly 60 homes.
Fire crews from all over the state, totaling over 5,500 personnel, are battling the blaze as it has headed into the Los Padres National Forest.
