True facts on Justin Timberlake for AT&T Pro Am weekend, with tequila.

Fact: Fellow golf enthusiast Barack Obama chose Justin Timberlake's "Pusher Love Girl" off his album 20/20 Experience for a "Summer of 2015" Spotify playlist.

Fact: Timberlake is afraid of snakes, sharks and spiders.

Fact: He married actress Jessica Biel in 2012 and they became proud parents in April 2015. Biel ins't Timberlake's first famous love. He had a highly publicized relationship with fellow pop-sensation Britney Spears. It took a public toll on him: "My split with Britney left my heartbroken," he said in an interview then. Timberlake also had a paparazzi-chased three-year relationship with actress Cameron Diaz, and the two remain friends today, reuniting on screen for the 2011 film Bad Teacher.

Fact: Timberlake's tackled grittier roles that have earned him acclaim. His most memorable films include Alpha Dog, the Oscar-winning Social Network, and Inside Llewyn Davis.

Fact: Two Dallas disk jockeys announced Justin Timberlake and Britney Spears had died in car collision, after they had broken up. The death hoax bothered Timberlake: "It sucks that my family was so worried about it."

Fact: After performing a duet at the Country Music Awards, rumors arose that Timberlake would soon leave pop for country. Timberlake replied he didn't want to confine his sound to one genre.

Fact: He formed N'Sync with Chris Kirkpatrick, Joey Fatone, Lance Bass and JC Chasez when he was just 14 years old. 

Fact: His mother, Lynn Harless, came up with the name for Timberlake’s pop band.

Fact: He gets a lot of grief for his bleached jheri curl during the N'Sync era (google “Who wears it best and Justin Timberlake for evidence), but it got worse when he rocked cornrows after the group broke up. “It’s these Stevie Wonder-esque braids that had people picking Lance Bass or J.C. Chasez as the breakout solo stars,” writes Brian Joseph on The Drop.fm.

Fact: Timberlake was a cast member in 1993 and 1994 of the Mickey Mouse Club variety show. His fellow musketeers included Britney Spears, Christina Aguilera, and Ryan Gosling. While filming the series, Timberlake’s mother became the legal guardian of Gosling, since his family was based in Canada. Timberlake and Gosling became a mischievous duo which would often joyride golf carts on set.

Fact: The music and movie superstar can’t handle calling Hollywood a home. Raised in small town Tennessee, he’s much more comfortable with country life. “I grew up in a small town and I could count my friends with one hand, and I still live that way,” Timberlake says in an interview with the Guardian. “I think I’ll die in a small town.”

Fact: He takes golf lessons from Butch Harmon, or at least according to Golf Digest. Harmon's a legendary coach and former pro whose dad won the 1948 Masters, best known as Tiger Woods’ former coach. Timberlake, along with his parents, bought a failing golf course in Memphis.

Fact: His 901 Tequila Party flows at Rich Pepe's Vesuvio Restaurant this weekend, featuring his limited blue agave tequila in designer drinks, 8-10pm Thursday, Feb. 11, Sixth Avenue and Junipero Avenue, in Carmel (no cover, 521-9631, www.ChefPepe.com/restaurants/vesuvio). 

Fact: As of AT&T Pro-Am official word, he was not part of the Celebrity Shoot-out that tees off today at 11am from Pebble's First Tee, or the new Million Dollar Hole-in-One ($60).
