A fire that started near the Soberanes Canyon Trailhead Friday morning grew to about 150 acres in just a few hours, but almost three days later, the blaze has erupted over 11,000 acres.
The Soberanes Fire continues to threaten homes in the top of Carmel Highland and Palo Colorado Canyon and firefighters from around the state are working around the clock to create a perimeter and keep the flames at bay.
