No Trace

For Arelie Garcia’s friends and family, momentum is still key. They believe that continuing to share her photo and story will help keep the search going.

On Friday, Sept. 22, 2022 Arelie Garcia left her Salinas apartment at about 6:30am. She has not been found since then, despite an effort from her family and community members to keep attention on the search.

The Salinas Police Department keeps her case open and urges anyone with information to contact them at (831) 758-7393 or anonymously at (831) 775-4222.

Two of her sisters, Veronica Torres and Elizet Mendoza, write: "Our parents have endured three years of heartache, waking up each morning not knowing if their daughter is safe, what happened to her, or if they will ever see her again. No parent should live with that kind of silence.

"On Sept. 22, it will mark 1,096 days, 1,096 days of heartbreak, unanswered questions, and no justice.

For our family, Arelie is not forgotten. She is our sister. She is loved. She is missed. And she deserves to be found."

Watch a short documentary on the three-year anniversary of Garcia's disappearance below.
