Grocery Outlet in North Salinas, located at 1415 North Main St., is celebrating 80 years and the community will be able to attend its celebration on Saturday, Aug. 15.
The event will feature anniversary deals, giveaways, cake cutting, and a $6,000 donation to a local domestic violence shelter.
The celebration will run from 10am-noon and the first 100 customers and attendees will receive special coupon cards, with opportunities to win prizes, including a $100 Grocery Outlet gift card. The first 50 attendees will also receive a special Grocery Outlet anniversary bag.
“This is what makes our local businesses so important,” said Salinas Councilmember Andrew Sandoval in a statement. “They provide jobs and serve our neighborhoods, but they also step up to support people in our community who need it most. I’m excited to celebrate 80 years of Grocery Outlet and recognize Eddy and Jen for giving back to Salinas.”
Customers can also take advantage of special 80th anniversary deals throughout the store.
Grocery Outlet opened a store in King City, located at 1023 Broadway St earlier this summer.
