Not one, not two, but three San Francisco Giants World Series trophies will on display in Marina tomorrow, at a free event in the Marina Municipal Airport between 11am and 1pm.
This Giants trophy tour marks the third in the last five years (the team won it all in 2010, 2012 and 2014), but the first to visit Marina.
“We are incredibly excited to welcome the Giants World Champions trophies to City of Marina, this is a first for us,” said Marina Junior Giants League Commissioner Ron Powell in a statement sent out today.
The Junior Giants program—which has been running in Marina for one year and helps 175 local kids link up with adult mentors—is seen as a flagship program in Major League Baseball, and serves 87 communities throughout Northern and Central California, as well as southern Oregon. A $2 donation to benefit Marina's Junior Giants is suggested at tomorrow's event.

In other Giants news, manager Bruce Bochy underwent a medical procedure yesterday to have two stents put into his heart after he reported discomfort during his physical. Bochy was release from the hospital today and texted ESPN that he expects to be back at work Sunday.
