The No Kings Day protest on June 19, 2025 drew at least 5,000 people to Window on the Bay in Monterey.

Multiple No Kings Day protests are planned for around the Monterey Bay region on Saturday, March 28, joining more than 3,000 protests planned around the country. National organizers claim it will be the largest number of protests taking place on one day since the resistance began after President Donald Trump took office.

The goal of the protests is to demonstrate support for democratic institutions, the rule of law and the principle that no individual stands above the Constitution, according to organizers.

Central Coast Indivisible and local 50501 chapters staggered times of events to ensure maximum participation, according to a press release. Each event will include speakers, signs and opportunities for residents to connect with local advocacy groups.

Last year's No Kings events in June and November attracted thousands of people locally, becoming some of the largest protests in recent memory. At least 5,000 people attended the June event in Monterey, with a slightly larger crowd in November. Nationally there were 2,000 events in June and 2,700 in November.

Monterey County events on Saturday are as follows:

11am-1pm, Big Sur - Pfeiffer Pull out at Pfeiffer Beach Road, organized by CaliCoast ReSISTERS

12-2pm, Salinas - South Main Street and Blanco Road, organized by Indivisible Salinas Valley

2-4pm, Monterey - Window on the Bay, 717 Del Monte Blvd., organized by 50501 Monterey

Aromas TriCounty Indivisible is holding three events:

9-10:30am - Bridge Brigade at San Juan Road/Highway 101 Overpass

11:30am-1pm - No Kings Rally and Singing at Aromas Town Square, Carpenteria Road and Blohm Avenue

2:30-4pm - Rally and Highway 156 Visibility Event, Highway 156 and The Alameda, San Juan Bautista

Really? Don't people have anything better to do? I would be willing to bet that 75% or more of the people don't even know what they are demonstrating for. Sounds like a lot of people are suffering from TDS.

Kudos to all the volunteers organizing these events and to the thousands of Monterey County residents who are planning to attend on Saturday and rally in support of our democracy! THREE more pop-up No Kings events have recently been added in Monterey County: in downtown Carmel at the intersection of Ocean and Junipero from 2-4pm; in Marina at the intersection of Del Monte and Reservation Road from 10am to 2pm, and 12 noon in King City (details here: https://mobilize.us/s/7Y678U). All this Saturday, 3/28!
