Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance is looking at some neat round numbers—and lofty ones, at that.
The 2025 event raised $4 million for local nonprofits, a record figure. With that amount, Concours has now brought in donations of more than $45 million since it began in 1950.
So organizers have set expectations higher. Should they hit the $5 million mark in 2026, it would add up to $50 million overall—in the Concours’ 75th year.
The new record amount is already benefitting local charities. At a luncheon held at the newly renovated Lodge at Pebble Beach today, Nov. 18, Concours officials began distributing funds to some of the primary nonprofit partners.
Donations come largely from sponsors, entrants, judges and through volunteers. Concours partners with the Pebble Beach Company Foundation—the community’s nonprofit arm—to distribute funds to over 100 local organizations, with a focus on health and education for children.
Over the past three decades, money raised by Concours has ramped up significantly. When Sandra Button, chair of the annual gathering of fine and rare automobiles, first joined the team in 1986, contributions rarely topped four figures.
The 75th Concours d’Elegance will take place Sunday, Aug. 16, 2026.

If you've ever wondered which groups the Pebble Beach Company Foundation supports, check out its 2023 annual report, the most recent easily available online. It's a stellar selection with a stated mission of supporting literacy, critical thinking, and other worthy goals for Monterey County students. But then you reach the section titled "A Banner Year," where it's revealed that 1.5M out of 3.1M in grants went to...girls' golf. This likely explains why no dollar amounts are given for the scores of groups listed. These donations are frequently counted among the benefits of Car Week, offsetting its inconveniences. If 2023 was typical, I'm afraid we've been deceived.
While I appreciate the charity, I wonder how much a higher tax rate would raise. Make no mistake though, the local non-profits really benefit from this and it will be a huge boon to us. Congratulations to the Concours team on raising funds for the local area.
