In a business that seems to attract unique characters, Frank Joyce fits right in. A practicing dentist, although today he’s practicing winemaking more than dentistry, Dr. Joyce is a warm, engaging, intelligent, mildly roguish gentleman lighting the Carmel Valley wine scene up with delicious handmade estate and single vineyard bottlings of Cabernet, Merlot, Pinot Noir, Chardonnay and Syrah. These wines burst onto the stage in the late 90’s and have become one of our region’s great triumphs. From the drill to the press, Frank Joyce has taken a bite out of life here on the Monterey Peninsula.
