Last Saturday a champion stormed through the dusty Lake San Antonio heat to win the devilish Wildflower Long Course, long held among endurance racers to be the most demanding in the sport, with a time of 4:33:20 for the 1.2-mile swim, 56-mile bike and 13.1-mile run.
But on that day it was a different female than Women’s Long Course winner Erin Hunter who came so much farther, so much faster – even though she was only a tiny teenager who traveled a fraction of the distance in her mountain bike triathlon division, which she won – one one leg, after losing the other one to cancer earlier in the year.
So it goes at Wildflower Triathlon, as it has for 31 straight years. Inspiration and accomplishment take many forms. Here’s a peek at some of the images that came with it.
Tricalifornia’snext event, the Orca Alcatraz Challenge Aquathlon and Swim, takes place May 27. Visit www.tricalifornia.com for more.

There are many interesting sports, but they aren't so often practice to notice them. Among them, golf is a great sport activity, which needs patience to play it. For everyone who wants to learn this game, he can join a private country club and practice it from time to time until he gets better at it. These clubs are well supplied, having appealing golf shop designs, restaurant and bars to offer each member an unique experience.
