- And keep your eye on downtown P.G. for Wild Fish and The Monarch Pub & Restaurantopening soon. Wild Fish owners Kelvin and Liz Jacobs have hired Steven Patlan to helm the kitchen for the new P.G. outpost and have refreshed the former Favaloro’s spot ahead of an anticipated opening this week. And Good Old Days saw a sneak peek of The Monarch’s new patio with a more formal debut soon.
- Look for new brunch items at Rio Grill, including brioche French toast with blueberry-ancho compote, smashed avocado toast (naturally) with Baker’s Bacon and a fried chicken and egg sandwich.
- Estéban Restaurant has introduced new paella to-go, perfect for parties. Choose from Chef Tom Snyder’s three signature paellas in a 22-inch pan for $250. Order 24 hours in advance, 375-0176.
- Join MEarth for the sixth annual MEarth Day on Saturday, April 21 from 10am-4pm. Local chefs will have small bites available for purchase to benefit MEarth. Look for James Anderson (Poke Lab), David Baron (Salt Wood), Soerke Peters (Village Corner, Lafayette Kitchen), Fabrice Roux (Roux, Carmel Valley Chophouse, Fifi’s), and Chris Watts (Carmel Valley Ranch), plus sweet treats from Yulanda Santos (Aubergine) and Revival Ice Cream. $5 admission, children 12 and under are free.
