Greenfield Little League's decades-old scoreboard finally gave out this season. Getting that fixed looked like it would be the most expensive problem, until burglars stripped the concession stand—affectionately known as the Snack Shack—during the night of April 22.
All told, they took over $4,000 worth of food, appliances, umpire gear, baseballs and cleaning supplies.
"It has been very hard to tell the kids at games that the Snack Shack is closed because someone stole all the food," Greenfield Little League President Lorena Gonzalez said in a statement.
The Little League is seeking donations to replace the stolen items.
