Fresh off the buzz of dropping her best record yet, one of the Peninsula's finest singer-songwriters, Lauren Shera (unfortunately, she now lives in Nashville), was chosen to appear on Amazon's alt Christmas compilation All is Bright.
The 43-song collection of holiday songs, which is free for Amazon Prime subscribers, boasts a killer line-up of artists—Lucinda Williams "Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas," Flaming Lips and Yoko Ono "Happy Xmas (War is Over), Heartless Bastards "White Christmas" and Beth Orton "River."
Shera gives The Orioles' 1948 "(It's Gonna Be A) Lonely Christmas" a jazzy makeover with a touch of Loretta Lynn twang.
I don't think it will be a lonely Christmas for Shera.
