There will be more Argentinean brisket, chicken pestos and "squealing pig" bacon-infused burgers meeting their fate than ever before, now that Mundos 3 just opened.

Generous homemade sandwiches and substantial burgers invented by a pair of brothers quickly won the original Mundos a tribe of devotees in North Monterey after it opened in 2011.

The second locally-owned outpost, Mundos 2, came to Marina in 2013.

Now, as 2015 gathers speed, they just opened another convenient hub near the post office in downtown Monterey.

“Every sandwich I make, I make as if I were at home making it for a friend,” Eli Mundo says.

For their part, my taste buds agree.
