Greenfield Mayor Bob White is running unopposed and seeking reelection for another term in office as voters prepare to decide the city’s leadership in the Nov. 3 general election.
“I consider the receiving of between $80 million-$85 million in grant funding for various projects around the city a great achievement. We were awarded $111 million in financing for our wastewater treatment project, which included a $75 million grant,” White says.
White also shared he is proud of receiving an additional $6 million to go toward building a new community center at 12th Street and Apple Avenue. The center will feature a 20,000-square-foot facility housing a new gymnasium, a teaching kitchen and classrooms. The groundbreaking is set for summer 2027.
White graduated from King City High School, studied business at Hartnell Community College and is the owner of Bob White Agency, which has provided insurance and real estate services since 1981.
He served as a councilmember for Greenfield from 2018-2022 and was elected mayor in 2022.
“Having been involved in public service my entire adult life, including serving on both local school boards and various councils and committees, I am extremely well qualified to serve a second term as mayor,” White says.
