Salinas Police got the call just before the stroke of midnight on Monday, Oct. 30, that something was happening in the Alisal area.
When officers arrived to the 200 block of Cross Avenue, they found 26-year-old Alexis Alfredo Saldana Ramos suffering from several gunshot wounds, according to a police press release.
Ramos was rushed to a hospital, but he eventually died there. Police released no other information.
Ramos' death is being investigated as gang-related. It is the city's 26th homicide of the year.
