A structural canopy at a Valero gas station in Marina collapsed on Monday morning, Nov. 25, according to the Marina Police Department.
Police and fire personnel responded to reports that a structure had collapsed at the station, at 3044 Del Monte Blvd., to find the canopy above the gas pumps had crumpled. Two vehicles at the pumps below the canopy were damaged, but Marina PD reports no people were injured.
Responding agencies including Marina police and fire departments, PG&E and the Monterey County Bureau of Environmental Health.
Building officials are investigating to determine the cause of the collapse.
The Valero station could not be reached by phone on Monday; the phone lines appear to be down.
