The manager of a Carmel golf club founded by Clint Eastwood was arrested Friday for allegedly embezzling more than $30,000 from the company, the Monterey County Sheriff's Office says.
Neal Morton, manager of the Tehama Golf Club, was charged with 16 counts of forgery, embezzlement and grand theft totaling $33,621.75, the sheriff's department reports.
The 48-year-old Salinas man was booked in the Monterey County Jail.
The invitation-only Tehama Golf Club is part of a 2,000 acre property in Carmel that is home to the very wealthy. Land for prospective homebuilders is available starting at $2.5 million, according to the Tehama website.
