• More A-plus stuff from B's: They also have launched a saucy competition that comes to Peter B’s as contestants can submit original recipes using Kevin Clark's craft brews via Facebook by May 8. Judging takes place May 13, and will broadcast live on KRML’s Pub Talk with the Beer Geek. Winners get to stay at Portola Plaza.

• Monterey Bay chefs mixer sizzles 6:30-9pm Wednesday, April 15, at—wait for it—Peter B’s. Tank tour and beer flight are included. RSVP by April 13 ($25, 601-5895).

• Trashion happens with the second annual Cima Collina recycled show 2-5pm Sunday, April 12, at Hidden Valley in Carmel Valley.

• Thirty percent of purchase proceeds at Pizza My Heart (656-9400) go to Monterey Public Library 4-9pm Thursday, April 16. Just mention the fundraiser when ordering.

• Pacific Grove brewery Craft Artisan Ales snagged a gold medal and a 92 point rating from the Beverage Tasting Institute for their Ricketts Lab IPA.

• TusCA Ristorante (657-6675) offers a TusCA for Two dinner with an appetizer to share, entrée, dessert to share and a glass of wine all for $60. Also, new spring menu launches April 8.

• The Sojourn Box offers “a taste of local,” with artisanal products produced in a particular city. Monterey is next up for a box treatment, and it will feature items from Monterey Bay Salt Company, Happy Girl Kitchen, Cloud 9, Lula’s Chocolates, Jeffrey’s Best and Salt Roots Soap. • Every flavor of Negranti Creamery’s all-natural sheep milk ice cream is now available at the Wharf Marketplace. Sheep’s milk often tastes richer and creamier than cow’s, with nutty, sweet and grassy notes.

 Seaside High School Alumni Association hosts a fundraiser to provide scholarships for graduating Spartans, with live and silent auctions; wine tasting; pork loin carving, pasta and chowder stations and other butler passed bites. Happens 5pm Saturday, April 18 at Monterey Peninsula Yacht Club ($35 in advance, $40 at door, 394-5594).

• Ribs are on the barbecue with all the fixin’s at Salinas’s Old Town Marketplace 11am-2pm Saturday, April 11, for the Salinas Veteran’s Day Parade fundraiser ($10, 449-1690).
