A few years ago, the Steel Bonnet Brewing Company opened a production facility in Salinas to support the growing popularity of its beers and its original Scotts Valley taproom. Now the brewery is planning to add a second taproom, this time in downtown Salinas.
The establishment will fill the space vacated by Farmers Union Pour House at 217 S. Main St. More details—and a liquor license from the California Department of Alcoholic Beverage Control—to follow.
The brewery was founded by Susan and Donald Cramb a decade ago. They took home two first-place medals in the California State Fair Commercial Craft Beer Competition this year in the category of American Amber/Brown for the Big Trees Red Ale and in the UK Stouts category for their Black Dragon.
