Woodsist Festival brings another strong lineup to Big Sur.

The annual Woodsist Festival, co-presented by indie label Woodsist Records and boutique music and events curator/presenter (((folkYEAH!))), is like experiencing the perfect marriage go down every year in one of the best settings on the planet. 

While the exact format/length of the event and its venue have varied over the past few years, the two most important elements have remained consistent: killer bands and tasty location.    

The 2015 incarnation of the Woodist Fest, aka one of the Central Coast's hippest hipster gatherings of the year, goes down Monday, May 18 (gates and DJ Sets at noon; show 1-10pm.)

And it's making its debut at Big Sur's beautiful and intimate Loma Vista Gardens.

Also, it's delivering another killer lineup that features several familiar Woodsist faces:

REAL ESTATE: 

WOODS: “Improvising has always been a part of our live shows,” said Woods singer-guitarist/Woodsist Records founder Jeremy Earl. “We always like to stretch out a little bit more, and that makes it a more enjoyable experience.”

WHITE FENCE: “My social life and relationships have suffered but [making music] is all I do,” Tim Presley, aka White Fence, told the Weekly. “I’m able to release what I need to release from inside me – art as well – but at the same time, I may have lost touch with reality. It’s kind of like a painter trying to outdo their last painting: You learn from the previous painting and apply it to the new one.”
