Apparently David Marzetti and Sam Salerno are on their game.
They recently earned the title of 2016 Sports Media Person of the Year from the Professional Golfers' Association Northern California Section for their work on "The Shagbag Golf Show."
That airs on KION 1460 AM and 101.1 FM 9-10am Saturdays as they broadcast live from the bar at Del Monte Grill.
Friday, Dec. 9, Marzetti deploys his pipes in an alternative manner, helping furnish the jazz music backdrop for Carmel By The Glass 5-8pm at La Playa Hotel in Carmel ($75, 521-9631, www.carmelbytheglass.com).
He'll be joined by local icon Mike Marotta on accordion and Dave Dally on violin while more than a dozen local wineries with Carmel-by-the-Sea tasting venues pour vino.
Rich Pepe and Jack Galante host and ring lead, Stefani Chaney and Crystal Murphy direct traffic.
The high-grade, small-batch wines come complemented by Aquaterra Culinary food like butternut squash, fennel-seafood ravioli and berry tartlets.
Proceeds go to the Carmel Missions Foundation.
