Last month loyal Weekly reader, husband, father, obstacle-race icon and general flavor magnet Liam Doust turned me onto a delicious discovery.

It's a food truck that parks in the lot next to Roberts Lake in Seaside, across from In-N-Out and Embassy Suites, and across Canyon Del Rey from Home Depot.

There, in a vehicle labeled PT Catering, an adorable Vietnamese duo does fried fish tacos Baja-style, with a basa white fish, homemade spicy salsa, onions and cilantro, for $2 a pop (adding sour cream from the squirt bottle is wise too).

They also do other meats, burritos and more, but the pescado taco is the specialty.

They fry the fish off expertly and quickly, and the combination of crunch and heat and texture without the grease makes them simply exquisite.

They arrive early and leave early—the hours are in the vicinity of 8-10:30am.

The gathering of Latino eaters there for breakfast fish tacos on each of my visits vouches for the tacos' flavor.

The woman who wrassles up customer orders was confident enough to offer a money-back guarantee on my original visit.

"You no like, you no pay," she said.

I paid, happily.
