Classic car on track

If Jerry Seinfeld taught us anything, it’s that comedians, cars and coffee go together. But the folks at WeatherTech Raceway Laguna Seca discovered that comedians are optional.

Some 700 vehicles showed up for the final Cars and Coffee gathering of 2025. But the first of four Cars and Coffee events in 2026—which takes place Saturday, March 21, starting at 7:30am—may be even bigger. Because no activity is scheduled on the famed track, participants who purchase two tickets to a future race or pay $50 are invited to drive a lap in their collector car.

That’s right, haul your ’70 Challenger or putt around in that old Volkswagen bus through the hair-raising Corkscrew. Of course, there are conditions. It’s a parade lap, for one, not a race. Drivers must be 18 or over. And they must sign a waiver—it’s your fault if you shred those radial tires.

The lap is a one-time bonus. Anyone is welcome to show off their classic, exotic or unique vehicle and sip coffee from Captain & Stoker. The $5 entry fee is a donation to the nonprofit Friends of Laguna Seca, which will be invested in upgrades to the facility.

Future Cars and Coffee dates are June 6, Sept. 26 and Dec. 5.
