Live@Heirloom Pizza Company in downtown Salinas announced it is closing its doors on March 7.

Less than three years after opening in downtown Salinas, Live@Heirloom Pizza Company, a deep-dish pizza restaurant and live music venue, is closing its doors.

“Sorry, we will be closing permanently on Saturday, March 7,” the restaurant posted on social media, inviting regulars to continue to visit its original downtown Monterey location.

The venue will close its doors with one last performance: Quebradita Cumbia Punk Party, a show featuring various groups including Valley Wolf, a Modesto-based collective that blends Latin beats, psychedelic rock, funk, punk and cumbia; and Spaghetti Cumbia, a Los Angeles-based band that fuses cumbia with rock, punk and Western sounds.

“It’s honestly heartbreaking watching one business after another close in downtown Salinas,” Orlando Osornio, a food truck event organizer in Salinas and former city councilmember, posted on social media. “Our small businesses deserve more than just trying to survive. They deserve a real shot at thriving and growing in downtown Salinas.”

The Salinas location opened in October 2023 at 344 Main St., serving as an event space and a live events venue that attracted artists from the region and beyond, including singers, DJs, poets and performers.
