California Water Service, the private water utility that delivers drinking water to residents of Salinas, issued a boil water advisory just before 10am this morning, Oct. 9 for more than 600 customers in the neighborhood across Highway 68 from Toro Park.
Cal Water calls for residents to boil all water (for at least 1 minute) for drinking, cooking and brushing teeth until further notice.
The advisory comes after Cal Water repaired the main break on Portola Drive and restored water service, and will remain in place for impacted residents until test samples come back for the water following the repair.
Residents seeking further information can call Cal Water at (831) 757-3644 or visit Cal Water's website.
