Black bears roam Yosemite campgrounds all summer, just mooching for food (“Seaside Police kill black bear; Pickles the dog is fine,” posted June 3). If the bears were a danger to people there would be a (human) bloodbath every summer night. When will the police get better prepared for non-lethal controls? Even the Wall Street Journal had a story on how wildlife is moving into the suburbs. So sick of these senseless killing stories – and I was raised in a hunting family, so I’m not a squeamish hipster. - Sanbenito1 | via Web
