Marina City Councilman Dave McCall will run for mayor in November, saying he wants to get the understaffed city back on the right track.
"Our City Council has kind of been in political gridlock in the last year," McCall says referring to late meetings and agenda items often rolling over to following agendas. "We haven't really been able to move forward."
McCall has been on the council for eight years. He considered a mayoral run in 2008, but deferred to Gary Wilmot, who lost to Mayor Bruce Delgado. Delgado has said he is still unsure whether he will seek another term.
