Carmel Valley residents will get to vote on creating their own township, separate from the county's jurisdiction. The Local Agency Formation Commission of Monterey County unanimously approved the incorporation proposal. Now the issue goes to the Monterey County Board of Supervisors, which is expected to set an election in early 2009 for C.V. residents to decide whether they want to form their own town.
