It’s time for the most shiny of arts: The Salinas Valley Art Gallery presents works by its creative and talented jewelry artists, Sandra A. Saldivar, Barbara Sawyer, Paulette Souza and Sherry McGlothlin. As a child, McGlothlin could hardly wait to see her grandmother’s jewelry tree she displayed during the holidays. When she started making mosaic art 10 years ago, she knew jewelry art would be included (such as in the piece shown above). “Sherry created this beautiful piece with jewels and brooches,” says Jo Ann Moline from the gallery (at 218 Main St., Salinas).
