Weekly readers’ fave exotic escape in the middle of New Monterey changed its name and added a full bar, late(er)-night weekend hours, a host of specials (two-for-one drinks with belly dance shows and free birthday meals if you bring friends, among others) and menu items (try the nan pizza). But the delectable kabobs, spicy chutneys, and pasta pillows filled with goodness called mantu remain. Even more reasons to visit Amir’s: two belly dance dinner shows every Friday and hookahs.
