The magic of the Bernardus Sauvignon Blanc begins along boulder-strewn banks of the Arroyo Seco, a region noted for its gravelly, sandy soil that provides superb drainage and also absorbs heat, warming the vines at night. The grapes are then harvested at different ripeness levels to broaden the wine’s flavor profile, and the rest comes down to the alchemy of Bernardus’ French-trained winemaker Dean DeKorth, who year after year is creating inspired wines that sing on the palate. His Sauvignon Blanc has a lively nose, crisp, rich flavors and a pleasing acidity that makes it a great choice to pair with sunshine, food and fun peeps.
