Follow-up: Do you think about the drought when you go grocery shopping?
Asked at Happy Girl Kitchen, Pacific Grove
COLIN SCHEHL | Cook | Pacific Grove
A: Use less water for dishwashing – more soaking, less pouring.
Veggie Way: Yeah, water goes into everything, but more water is used for producing meat. I’m not buying meat.
SARAH BOYLE | Interior Designer | Pacific Grove
A: We took out most of our landscaping and replaced it with decomposed granite and drought-resistant plants.
Carbon Concerned: I don’t think I do. I think more about the carbon footprint and where my groceries are coming from.
LUCY GARCIA | Volunteer | Monterey
A: I stopped washing my car at home. I’m taking shorter showers and being mindful.
Ag Aware: I think about the farmers. If they don’t have water, we don’t have produce. But I’m still buying what I always buy.
