Follow-up: How have your political views changed?
Asked at Monterey Post Office
CINDY EVANS | Bus Driver | Monterey
A: Lessening restrictions on the homeless. I’m OK with them sleeping in public parks, as long as they clean up their trash.
Steady leanings: I’ve always been leaning to the left, and that hasn’t changed.
FRANK LIN | Student | Monterey
A: Anyone running for office can’t be a career politician. We should have technocrats who are experts in their field.
Media spin: When I first heard about the conflict in Gaza, I thought the Israelis were being picked on. After listening to different sources, I saw things were more complicated.
KEN WOODS | Retired Fisherman | Monterey Harbor
A: Rent shouldn’t be above $500. Then I could move off my boat.
Better Days: I’ve become more jaded. I think there’s less freedom now.
