He confessed that he had gone to her home under the pretext of borrowing a book, drank tea with her for an hour, then hit her repeatedly with a 4-inch piece of steel. Boggs told police she fell to the floor, but was unconscious and still bleeding, so he stabbed her with a butcher knife.
