This webinar, hosted by Democratic Women of Monterey County, features women leaders in the agriculture industry speaking about ag policy. Speakers include Rayne Thompson, Sunkist Growers’ director of government relations and public policy; Jenét DeCosta, a board member of Salsipuedes Sanitary District in Watsonville; and Colby Pereira, a member of the California Leafy Greens Research Board and board member of the Salinas Valley Basin Groundwater Sustainability Agency.

FUTURE GROWTH

The city of Seaside holds several discussions, called a charette, to get feedback on the future of Seaside East, land on the former Fort Ord, as city officials weigh options for development. The first will present broadly on ideas, the second will be to review options and the third will feature a final presentation.

If you want to dress up as a different character this Halloween, consider bringing your clean and gently used costume to exchange it for another one. The community rack will be available until Saturday, Oct. 30, during regular library hours: 11am-7pm Tues-Wed, 10am-6pm Thurs, 10am-5pm Fri-Sat.
