Hillary fans may shed a tear this morning as the news spreads that presidential hopeful Barack Obama selected long-time US Senator Joseph Biden as his vice-presidential candidate. Biden brings a wealth of foreign policy experience and served as chair of the judiciary committee when several controversial judicial candidates were pushed towards confirmation (Bork, Thomas). He's glib, and may get himself (and the campaign) into trouble. But, come November, he'll help Obama win the all important state of Delaware. http://www.slate.com/id/2198477/pagenum/2 http://www.nytimes.com/2008/08/24/us/politics/24biden.html?_r=1&hp=&adxnnl=1&oref=slogin&adxnnlx=1219500910-3B7A1EENtynoC8pAUWV17Q http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2008/08/23/joe-biden-is-obamas-vice_n_120772.html
