When the dry and fiery end comes, hopefully we’ll have time for a last meal. Maybe it will include Thai meat salads and Danish octopus pancakes. And a nice glass of dry-farmed – and dry on the palate – local wine. Or maybe it will star Salinas Valley produce that doesn’t need too much water to grow paired with some conservation-savvy fancy foods and similarly mindfully-made craft beers.
