You may know Christine Crozier as the illustrator of Clown Cantos: Elemental Joy by local author Barbara Mossberg. Now you can see her works from that book on display at Venture Gallery in Monterey throughout the month of February. The exhibit shares the book’s title. Crozier’s first formal art training had been in Chinese brush painting. “For years I have longed for an opportunity to revisit the clean, fresh simplicity of that medium,” she wrote in an artist statement. “It has been a wonderful adventure creating these works.” The gallery is located at 260 Alvarado St., Monterey and is open from 10am-6pm daily.
