The Rat Pack is Back smokes the Golden State.

In 1960, the coolest cats in the entertainment biz gathered at the Sands Hotel in Las Vegas to make the original Ocean’s Eleven. Big leaguers Frank Sinatra, Dean Martin, Sammy Davis Jr., Peter Lawford and Joey Bishop spent the warm desert days shooting scenes for the heist movie, and then at night, slayed crowds by doing a variety show in the Sands’ Copa Room.

Their bag included singing hit songs like “That’s Amore” and “Fly Me to the Moon” while backed by a big band and doing humorous skits between the numbers. Following those legendary three weeks of shows, the group of entertainers became known as the Rat Pack.

Now, 48 years later, a creative team including producer/writer Sandy Hackett, son of famed comedian Buddy Hackett, revisits those groovin’ days with a revue featuring four entertainers and a 12-piece band. You dig?
