After years performing solo, singer-songwriter Yvan Vucina began gathering musicians last summer to form Rebel Beach, fulfilling his longtime ambition to lead a rock band.

This weekend, the Bayonet and Black Horse golf course in Seaside, a grounds more typically known for its lush ranges and picturesque views of the Monterey Bay, will host the Boots on the Green Country Music festival – six hours of country music through four musical acts.

Colton Bell’s music has the ability to time travel. The destination: Pacific Grove High School circa 2001 – the place rap battler The Saurus first started spitfiring his lyrics. The elder PGHS graduate continues to be a source of inspiration for Bell, as does the community.

When Molchat Doma (literally “the houses are silent”) formed in 2017 in Minsk, Belarus, nothing indicated the band would go viral, find a home in California and embody the doom of the international social media generation – all while remaining unrecognized in its own country.
