With Luke Skywalker (Mark Hamill) missing, General Organa sends a pilot (Oscar Isaac) to find him, only to bump into the villainous Kylo Ren (Adam Driver), who wants Luke dead. The visual effects and action are pretty standard, but the story goes in logical directions. Frustratingly, though, too much is left unexplained. Rated PG-13.
