Five new exhibits open at the Pacific Grove Art Center on Friday, Nov. 7. Among them are works by Big Sur artist Sofanya White. “My work explores the interplay between inner and outer worlds,” she wrote in an artist statement, “a kind of holograph of time and space, where imagery and symbolism invite the viewer to discover their own story.” In addition to painting, White experiments with other media, including wearable art. The opening for all five exhibits takes place at 6-8pm on Nov. 7 (with live music by Glenn Leon-Guerrero on keyboards and vocals). PGAC is located at 568 Lighthouse Ave., Pacific Grove; the regular gallery hours are noon-5pm Wednesday through Saturday, and 1-4pm on Sundays.
