Works by landscape artist Richard Tette of Carmel Valley are part of three new shows for October at the Carmel Art Association. Above is Tette’s acrylic titled “Field Workers Abode, Castroville.” The piece exemplifies Tette’s subject matter across his body of work: a barn stationed in a tranquil landscape, often with rolling fields and moody lighting. A veteran of the U.S. Air Force, Tette has had a successful career as an artist, receiving many awards and showing in exhibits across the country. He has been a member of the Carmel Art Association since 2007, and is described as one of its top-selling artists. The exhibit Rural Reflections runs through Nov. 3 at the Carmel Art Association, Dolores Street between 5th and 6th in Carmel. The gallery is open daily from 10am-5pm.
