The Center for Photographic Art is opening its 2025 International Juried Exhibition with an award ceremony and reception at 4pm on Saturday, Dec. 6. This year the juror was British-born, Maine-based artist and writer Cig Harvey, whose specialty is large-scale color photography. Above, we see Paul Adams’ “Train To Elba,” featured in the exhibit. Adams, the current head of photography at Brigham Young University in Utah, was born and raised in the Pacific Northwest, and grew up backpacking and exploring the coastal ranges and rivers above the Arctic Circle in Alaska. CfPA is located inside the Sunset Center, San Carlos and 9th, Carmel. Gallery hours are noon-4pm Wednesday through Sunday. The show will remain on display until Jan. 4.
