Celebrating 13 years of dichroic and fused glass artistry, Lilly Campos presents an exhibition capturing the spirit of summer on the California coast. Her work depicts lively coastal scenes where sailboats, kites and hot air balloons dot sunny skies above picturesque inlets. Beyond recreation, the coast teems with captivating wildlife, also featured. Campos, who was born and raised in Monterey County, started working with glass in 2011. When it comes to fused glass, she is self-taught. The piece presented above is part of A Summer’s Day in a California Bay exhibit at Venture Gallery in Monterey that will be on display throughout the month of May. The gallery (at 260 Alvarado St.) is open daily from 10am-6pm.
