One of the exhibits now on display at the Pacific Grove Art Center is Cultivating the Artist – Personal Works of Art Teachers, located in PGAC’s Dyke Gallery (upstairs at 568 Lighthouse Ave., Pacific Grove). Monterey-based Karen Welch, whose work “Raven Moon” is shown above, is a visual arts instructor at the International School of Monterey, where she has been teaching for 20 years. Most of the works in the exhibit capture the Central Coast seascapes. Among other artists-instructors featured in the show are Zach Weston, Valerie-Jean Rivera and Gerard Martin. PGAC is open Wednesday through Saturday from noon-5pm and Sundays from noon-4pm. On display until Oct. 30.
