This is the second section of the mural Mexico-born Jesus Nunez painted for El Colibri Restaurant and Deli in Salinas, representing agriculture. La Catrina is a popular figure in Mexico known as “The Elegant Skull,” prominently during the Day of the Dead festivities. She represents Mexico, specifically the region of Oaxaca, and its traditions. Stop by to taste delicious food and check out the bright mural. Nunez works with oils, acrylics and watercolors on canvas, wood, paper, ceramic and glass. See more of his work online at instagram.com/zenuart, and this mural at 343 Main St.
