Jane Olin

Artistic group Salon Jane has a new exhibit at the Carl Cherry Center for Arts until the end of November. The six artists in the group are Martha Casanave, Susan Hyde Greene, Jane Olin (whose work is pictured above), Anna Rheim, Robin Robinson and Robin Ward. They are all photographers who are steeped in the local West Coast photography tradition and now mostly use experimental or analog alternative process techniques. They’ve been gathering locally as a group since 2014, as a group of women needing to go deep into their work. They began exhibiting in 2015 at Carl Cherry (4th and Guadalupe, Carmel). Since then, they’ve had unique significant exhibitions, including at MMA and CPA. Salon Jane Celebrates Ten Years: Photography Reimagined is the title of this exhibit. A walk-through with the artists takes place at 2-3pm on Saturday, Nov. 9. The exhibit and events are free to attend.
