Photographer Jacqui Turner’s solo exhibit at Temple GarageHolding On, is a journey through memory. Her luminous black-and-white photographs immortalize precious objects, each of them a symbol of time passing. Turner used to be a dancer and choreographer, and her study of movement and lightness have informed her almost 40-year-long practice as a photographer. “In Jacqui’s work, hands become vessels of memory – holding not just objects, but time, love and the stories we carry forward,” Ashlee Temple of Temple Garage said about the show. The exhibit is part of PhotoCarmel 2026. Meet the artist at 3-5pm on Sunday, April 19. 542 Ortiz St. Unit 5, Sand City. Hours: 11am-2pm Thursdays; 3-7pm Fridays; 10am-2pm Saturdays. Through May 10.
